  3. This package has been made available to you as shareware, meaning that
  4. you are licensed to use the package for a thirty (30) day trial timeframe.
  5. As you have no doubt noticed, there are no annoying nag screens, beeps,
  6. trial timelocks, etc., in this package.  It is hoped that this will be
  7. appreciated by the user community and facilitate registrations by pleased
  8. users.  Legal use of the package beyond the thirty (30) day trial period
  9. requires registration of the product.  Registration details are contained
  10. in the file REGFORM.TXT and also in the helpfile LMODLMGR.HLP.  The reg.
  11. form should be printed, completed, and mailed with payment, as instructed.
  12. You are under no obligation to register during the thirty day trial time.
  13. To legally use the package beyond the 30 days you must register your copy.
  14. Otherwise, you must remove the Lankford Module Manager program, and all
  15. associated files, from your computer.  Registration gives you license to
  16. use the package with no time restrictions whatsoever.  As a registered
  17. user, you may also request product support (via e-mail).  You are fully
  18. encouraged to take the entire thirty (30) days to properly evaluate the
  19. package.

  22. DESCRIPTION
  23. -----------
  24. Lankford Module Manager is a Windows-based program for finding all
  25. loaded Windows modules, displaying the module names in a categorized
  26. table (EXE, DLL, DRV, etc.), determining and displaying additional useful
  27. information about selected modules, and removing selected modules from
  28. memory.  The program was developed as an aid/utility/tool for Windows
  29. software developers, and/or certain technically knowledgable "high-end"
  30. system users.  The package was entirely developed and tested under
  31. Windows 3.1x, but may possibly work under Windows 95 also.  No claims or
  32. representations are made about it's ability to be used under Windows 95.
  33. If you find that the package does indeed work under W95, please forward
  34. this info.  The package will NOT work with Windows NT.  Further info is
  35. available in the LMODLMGR.HLP Windows helpfile, including the product
  36. version history and an expanded program description.

  39. INSTALLING LMODLMGR
  40. -------------------
  41. If you received this package in an archived/compressed form (.ZIP, .ARJ,
  42. etc.) you must first "unzip", or decompress/unarchive, the package contents
  43. to a temporary directory location (such as c:\temp, etc.).  Once this is
  44. done, you need to run/execute the setup.exe program from the Windows File
  45. Manager, or Program Manager.  The setup program will allow you to select
  46. the directory to install the LMODLMGR files into, will do the actual file
  47. copying to that directory, and create the Program Manager group and group
  48. items for the LMODLMGR package.  The program group created will be named
  49. "Lankford Module Manager", appropriately.
